Details of some real vintage Ajax Blue Molded capacitors
use by Leo Fender in thoses years.

That my reedition of a blue molded capacitor
I started with a Russian paper and oil capacitor (the green thing)
add some modeling clay (the kind that dosen't need to be bake in a oven)
some blue paint and a fake sticker, et voilą, a nice looking and nice sounding
cap for about two dollars each
But it took two days of fun work to realise, I made tree .1uF and one .047 (from
a Jensen paper and oil cap).

Here is the decals I will apply on the cathode bypass
capacitors, a repro of the MALLORY electrolytics.
I will remove the black plastic sleving, rool some brown paper over de caps, a
few coats of amber shellac first.

Other parts are all stock in the Post Canada strike and lock out !

Found this blank aluminium chassis for a Princeton (Reverb)
on E-Bay for $38.00

Here we have a stellar testing Tung-Sol 5U4GB rectifier tube. The tube was " MADE IN U.S.A." by Tung-Sol and the production code is 322PA3. The tube features a medium tall bottle, jet black ribbed X-plates, dual top side mount halo getters (the most desirable), tight black base with a perfect guide shaft and a bright white script. The tube was tested for gas, leakage and merit on a Eico 667 tester where the minimum acceptable reading is 80. The rectifier tested 140/140, off the chart NOS readings and perfectly matched plates.
Power tubes : 5871 / 6V6GT General Electric
The 5871 is a low noise 6V6 type tube. This pair of rare GE 5871 tubes was made in Canada. The brown bases can vary in color from beige down to rich mahogany and sometimes have varying shading on the same base. This could be the ultimate holy grail tube to have in the 6V6 world, but their scarcity today keeps them in a fairly obscure corner of that world.
V1 - First preamp tube will be a old stock 7025 RCA (low noise 12AX7),
V2- The JAN Philips 12AT7WC / ECC81 tube is a high quality military pre-amp tube that is preferred for guitar amps and high end audio.
V3 and V4 will be two tubes from this quad of old stock Amperex Bugle boy 12AX7 (ECC83) :

That an upgrade Deluxe Reverb power transformer from Magnetic Components, 5U4GB rectifier, 5871 GE military power tubes.
The forbon material (board) that I receive from Antique Electronic wass the gray type color, so I end up painting the board flat black then I add some clear coats of varnish. All resistors are Alen Bradley NOS carbon composition except for the two pink resistors (uper left) where a close tolerance is needed (these are Taxman - Rex carbon film 2 % tolerance 220K value).
The amp now have a speaker, Weber (12F150T)
clone of the Chicago Jensen C12N and Oxford ceramic 12's
12", 40oz ceramic magnet, 25 or 50 watts, 1-1/2" voice coil, seamed cone.
The multi-ribbed seamed cone of the 12A125 for a bright, detailed, smooth breakup tone
with more headroom and overall punch and volume than the AlNiCo version.
Beam blocker build into the baffle. If the 12 inchs speaker look comfortable in the baffle, I made the cabinet 2 inchs higher !
